Testudinella caeca, specimen with retracted corona, so the projection at the antterior end of the dorsal lorica becomes visible. According to Koste (1978) this species is the only one of the genus Testudinella that does not have red eyespots. So this image was taken with brightfield illumination to better demonstrate that there are no red spots. (1) |
